Top Amazon Recast fixes - changed Internet, changed wifi or reset Recast

If you have already done the quick fix of rebooting all devices, and are still having issues with your live Free TV channel on the Amazon Recast then the fix is likely more complicated. Please note less than 1% of the time is this an antenna issue, usually a recent change will create this issue. Remember your Fire TV sticks and Amazon Fire TV Recast must be on the same Internet/wifi network and logged into the same Amazon account to work properly. Some people have issues after changing wifi, routers, modems or getting a new Internet provider, etc. 

You are welcome to contact the manufacturer Amazon for Support, but due to high costs they have no US Support, and are pretty clueless on the Recast. Also, be aware that Amazon has not made the Recast for years, so its possible over time Amazon Support will get worse - Tablo Network DVR is the best replacement.

If you are having trouble connecting to your Free Live TV Amazon Recast channels after resetting your Recast or any of the changes mentioned above see below for things to try. This is not usually a simple fix, as there could be many things that need to be done.   1. Check out Amazon Recast's help guide and make sure to find your specific issue in the left column that best applies to you.
  2. Open the Fire TV Recast app on your phone or tablet (note this is a new app that is in addition to the Fire TV app). If you cant find it or dont have it you can download the Fire TV Recast app from the Google Play or the Apple App Store. Download the Amazon Fire TV Recast App to your phone or tablet.
  3. Log into the Amazon Fire TV Recast App on your phone or tablet (see pics below)
  4. Go to Settings and select Fire TV Recast and choose the best option from there (see pics below)
