Sometimes a
channel will go through a frequency change. This is a common practice. Leading up to July 2020, many of the major broadcast networks went through this "
repack." The channel you watch it on (the "Virtual Channel") will not change, but the frequency the channel it is on will. If you find you are not getting the channel, you will need to do a rescan to get it back. Fortunately, it's very easy to do a re-scan.
To scan for channels on the
Fire TV Recast: Settings > Live TV > Sync Sources > Fire TV Recast > Channel Scan > Next (You also can watch
this video to see how it's done)
To rescan for channels on your TiVo: Go to Settings > Channel Settings > Select Antenna Channel Scan
If you simply have an antenna, the process will vary depending on what type of TV you own, but it should be in the Menu, Settings, or Setup. Consult with your TV user guide or contact your TV manufacturer's website for more help on this. You will likely need your original TV remote to complete this process.
When the scan is complete, continue watching the channel on the same channel number.
NOTE: We can only guarantee the major networks like ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. Smaller low power antenna channels are harder to pick up, and sometimes they will move to a different channel number, and sometimes they just go away. Since StreamWise Solutions is not a content provider and charges no monthly rate, we have no control over free Antenna channels moving or changing in signal strength.
