Channel App Asking for Cable Provider Authentication

We do NOT recommend installing specific Channel apps.  Remember whatever pay service you use (Sling TV, YouTube TV, etc.) has all of your local and cable channels live, on demand and DVR all in 1 spot for easier access. Do NOT go and download a bunch of other apps like ABC, Fox News, HGTV, etc as they will take up space on your Fire TV, make it more difficult and they are not needed.

If you try to watch a channel using the channel app (e.g. Fox News App, CBS All Access) instead of watching the channel from within your streaming service app (e.g. Sling, YouTube TV), the channel app may ask you to login with your cable provider. This happens a lot when you try to search for the channel using voice search.  As of July 2020, voice search on the Fire TV cannot find the channel within the streaming service app, and instead, it finds the channel app that you may install, unintentionally. StreamWise Solutions is not a streaming service provider, and since you likely canceled service with your cable provider when switching to StreamWise Solutions, you no longer have a cable provider you can use to sign into the channel app.  Instead, load your streaming service app (YouTube TV, or Sling, etc) and find the channel you want in there.

And, just for clarity's sake, you'll want to uninstall the channel app that you accidentally installed.

We suggest removing apps that are not needed, watch the video from the 2:45 mark to see how to easily uninstall apps.  It's possible you, your spouse our your kids accidentally downloaded apps that were not needed, so we recommend you uninstall ones that you do not need to use. We do NOT recommend installing specific Channel apps.
