Bill Negotiation - My Bill is not lower

Bill Negotiation - My Bill is not lower

After negotiating your Internet bill with your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you may find that the next bill you get from them is not at the discount rate that was negotiated.  Unless the ISP made a mistake (which happens), this is likely because the bill was generated before you negotiated the rate, or that you were part-way through a billing cycle, so the entire bill is not at the lower rate.  Take a look at the billing period and the billing date and compare that to when you called them. If you are owed a pro-rated refund, it should show up on your next bill. Your next 2 bills (or more if you had a large refund) may not be at the regular new rate due to billing cycles and refunds.  The first bill might be higher, and the bills after that may be lower, then, once refunds run out, it should stabilize. Generally, even if you know your rate is lower, you should always pay the full bill amount, otherwise the ISP may see your bill as not fully paid.  If your next 2 bills are higher after the negotiation, they may not have applied the changes correctly. Any questions about your ISPs billing policies should be directed to your ISP.  Note that some ISPs do not offer refunds for partial months when canceling service altogether.
