StreamWise is not a service provider and charges no monthly rate, however we do want you to be happy with your Cord Cutting setup so have put together this guide on DirecTV Stream. While DirecTV Stream is not our top recommendation, some people value getting specific channels over savings, customer service and ease of use. Then again your old Comcast did not have any of this either, plus bills were increasing exponentially every year, and blackouts had you paying for channels you could not even get.

Now there are better and less expensive ways to get Altitude Sports.  DirecTV Stream is the only way to get AT&T SN RM (Rockies), so it is understandable why some people would choose to get it for part of the year. 

Watching TV
  1. Pressing Right/Left Changes Channels up and down
  2. Press Up/Down/Options buttons to bring up the Guide/Menu
  3. Press Back button to make Guide/Menu go away
  4. Press Select to see what you are watching, how much time is left, Record, and Closed Caption Options
  5. A Blue underline or box around something indicates something is highlighted
Set Favorite Channels
  1. Press Up/Down/Options to bring up the Guide/Menu
  2. Press Left to select the Guide Option and press Select
  3. Scroll Up/Down to the channel you want as a Favorite
  4. Press Left to Highlight the channel (vs the program) and press Select
  5. Press Left to underline the 🖤Favorite option
  6. Press Select to mark channel as a 💜Favorite
  7. Press Back button and repeat steps to select any additional channels you want as favorites
  8. Press Left on Guide screen to bring up Guide options
  9. Scroll down to "Favorites" instead of All and Select it
  10. You should now see the check mark next to Favorites indicating your Guide is set to only see favorites
  11. To see all of your channels, select All
Record a Show
  1. While watching program you want to record
    1. Press Select, then Right to go to REC, then select REC
    2. Press OK to just record that one show, or select Record Series to record the series
  1. While searching the guide in the future, highlight and select the show you want to watch
    1. Highlight and select Record
    2. Press OK to just record that one show, or select Record Series to record the series
Watch a Recorded Show
  1. Press Up/Down/Options to bring up the Guide/Menu
  2. Press Right to highlight My Library
  3. Press down to go to DVR Recordings
  4. Select recorded show you want to watch
Delete a Recorded Show
  1. While watching a recorded show, press Select
  2. Press down, then left to get to the  (info) icon and Select it
  3. Scroll Right to Delete Recording and press Select
  4. Select Delete Recording
Turn On/Off Closed Captions
  1. While watching program you want Closed Captions on
    1. Press Select, then Right to go to Captions bubble on the right, then select the icon
    2. Press down to go to English and press select
    3. Press back button to return to show
    4. This turns it on for ALL channels
See Account Info and Preferences
  1. Press Up/Down/Options to bring up the Guide/Menu
  2. Press Right to highlight the Gear Icon and press Select
  3. Preferences
    1. Parental Controls
    2. Closed Captions
    3. Autoplay Next Episode On/Off
  4. Account
  5. About
  6. Log Out
Note: You cannot cancel your AT&T TV Account from within the app.  You must do this from the website.

Since DirecTV Stream has no contract we always recommend you save money and cancel it when the Avs, Nuggets or Rockies season ends - or sooner for the Rockies since they are usually out of the playoffs by the all star break... ;-) You are in control since you are not on any contracts, and the hardware that we install allows you to download a new app and change providers whenever you like. Our top recommendations for the most savings continue to be Philo & Sling TV paired with an OTA antenna.
